Easter Egg Hunt

This morning we went on a little family outing to the community EGGstravaganza Egg Hunt held at a park nearby. This was Niki's first hunt and eventhough he really enjoyed it once it got going ....It was basically torture for the first 30 minutes we were there. All the little ones who got there before the hunt started had to look at a few thousand bright and colorful eggs just laying around on the ground calling out their names while they were continiously told, "just a few more minutes baby."

I am pleased to say Niki, with a little help from Daddy, was very successful in his gatherings. I am even more please to say that no elbows were thrown by Niki or Daddy to get more eggs. They played very nicely with the other children. And of course, once Niki saw one egg open and that there was candy inside of it..... he fell to the ground dumped THEN threw his basket (that mommy made for him) and started grazing.

A Boy and His Dada

Everyday right at the same time, a certain little someone hears a car horn and runs to the door ready for a bigger certain someone to walk thru . Sometimes he runs thru the house yelling DADADADADADA and other times he just bangs on the door laughing until it opens. This is one of my most favorite parts of the day. Not only because I am usually exhausted and ready for some relief ....... :) but to watch them fall in love all over again with eachother is one of the sweetest things to witness. They are best friends and pal-arounds who like to run and rough house together untill they are both pooped out. Here are some of my favorite pictures of them together.
